Jesus is a Jealous Bridegroom (Revelation 1:14)

 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire;

Jesus’ head and hair were white like wool. The countenance of His face is pure white, like brilliant light. His head and hair is likened to the Ancient of Days in Daniel 7:9. Jesus is not just another man, but He is one with the Father on the throne; they have always been. He possesses the eternal wisdom that is beyond the ages.

Jesus’ eyes are like flames of fire. His gaze is penetrating; seeing all things. Even the darkness is as light to Him (Psalm 139:12). Jesus’ eyes of fire express the burning heart of a bridegroom. He is filled with intensity and passion for His Bride; and He is jealous for her. He will not relent until she is completely His. He will do whatever it takes to purify His bride; He will refine her like gold in the fire.

Jesus has died for love and He will fight for love. Woe to the enemies of the King and His Bride on His wedding day!

 For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. -Deuteronomy 4:24

For jealousy is a husband’s fury;
Therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance. -Proverbs 6:34
