I am wholeheartedly convinced that the Church will be a victorious bride before Jesus returns. Under the leadership of Jesus, she will be unified; walking in unpresedented love and power. God will allow tribulation and persecution to purify and refine His Church; what the enemy intends for evil, The Lord will work for good.
It is necessary to have vision for the Church walking in the fullness of her identity. All the prayers we see in the New Testament speak into this reality. We want to pray with faith and confidence in God’s word, because The Lord has called us to partner with Him in His plans to build up a victorious church. Without this hope, we will be prone to discouragement and be ineffective in our spheres of influence.
“I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” -Matthew. 16:18
…… yet for many days they shall fall by sword and flame, by captivity and plundering. 34 Now when they fall, they shall be aided with a little help; but many shall join with them by intrigue. 35 And some of those of understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end; because it is still for the appointed time. -Daniel 11:33-35
The greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit will be released upon the generation that the Lord returns. What began in the upper room will reach fulfillment in one generation as the Holy Spirit is poured out on all flesh. This will result in the greatest revival in all of history; causing the greatest number of souls giving their lives to Jesus, as the gospel is proclaimed with power throughout all the nations of the earth.
17“It shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh… 20before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.” -Acts 2:17-20
“This gospel…will be preached…to all the nations [ethnos] and then the end will come.” -Matthew 24:14
…a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations…standing before the throne and before the Lamb…14“These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation.” -Rev. 7:9, 14
6 I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people. Rev. 14:6
The Church will be walking in her identity as the Bride of Christ. Intimacy with Jesus will be the heartbeat of the Church as she is in partnership with the Holy Spirit. In devotion to Jesus and obedience to His word; she will fill the earth with righteous acts. This will be seen in her unity, her purity, and in sacrificial love. It will be unprecedented as Jesus’ bride will display His glory. Jesus Himself expressed His desire for His bride to His Father. Jesus will surely receive what the Father has promised Him!
And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” -Revelation 22:17
Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. -Revelation 19:7-8
till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; -Ephesians 4:13
that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. -Ephesians 5:27
21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. -John 17:21-23
The conflict at the end of the age will be between two global worship movements—one led by Jesus and one by the Antichrist’s worldwide, state-financed worship movement (Rev. 13:4, 8, 12, 15).
All who dwell on the earth will worship him (Antichrist), whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. -Revelation 13:8
The Church’s primary activity will be worship and prayer. In the midst of the darkness, the church will be burning bright, declaring the beauty of Jesus, as the nations stream to His glorious light. The Lord will be releasing His judgments on the antichrist system through the praying church; much like how He moved through Moses in the days of exodus and the apostles in the book of acts. It will culminate in the final battle that will establish true justice on the earth. (Ps. 96:1, 9, 13; 98:1-9; 102:15-22; 122:6; 149:6-9; Isa.19:20-22; 24:14-16, 23; 25:9; 26:1, 8-9; 27:2-5, 13; 30:18-19, 29, 32; 35:2, 10; 42:10-15; 43:26; 1:11; 52:8; 62:6-7; Jer. 31:7; 51:8; Joel 2:12-17, 32; Zeph. 2:1-3; Zech. 8:20-23; 10:1; 12:10; 13:9; Mt. 21:13; 25:1-13; Lk. 18:7-8; Rev. 5:8; 6:9-11; 8:3-5; 9:13; 14:18; 16:7; 18:6; 22:17)
They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing; For the majesty of the Lord They shall cry aloud from the sea. 15 Therefore glorify the Lord in the dawning light, The name of the Lord God of Israel in the coastlands of the sea. 16 From the ends of the earth we have heard songs: “Glory to the righteous!” -Isaiah 24:14-16
I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. -Isaiah 62:6-7
Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. 9 Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth. 13 For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, And the peoples with His truth. -Ps. 96:1,9,13
Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, 7 To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; 8 To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord! -Psalm 149:5-9
And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” -Luke 18:7-8
Jesus prophesied that “His Church will be a house of prayer for all nations” -Mark 11:17. Before He returns, the church will be a spiritual family (a house) going on mission (for all nations) together in the context of night and day prayer (house of prayer).
