His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.
Jesus’ feet like bronze glowing in a furnace expresses His judgement of sin. He will trample all of His enemies and will dash them to pieces with a rod of iron. He will bring all who oppose Him under His feet.
The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! -Psalm 110:1-2
Jesus voice like the sound of rushing waters expresses His power and authority. This is the same voice that spoke in Genesis 1 with creative power and that commands the waters to come this far and no further. With His voice He directs the armies of heaven.
When I said, ‘This far you may come, but no farther, And here your proud waves must stop!’ -Job 38:11
The Lord gives voice before His army, For His camp is very great; For strong is the One who executes His word. For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; Who can endure it? -Joel 2:11
